Graphic Design has a long tradition of visual storytelling. It's composition of text and image communicate a message in a more intuitive way. Methods such as repetition, contrast, balance, grid creation and hierachy can be used to create interesting compositions. Textures, shapes, colours, structure of lines, images etc. are the seasonings of a graphical composition. Many stories can be told in graphic design - a love story between the elements of a composition - a story about the separation of elements - a story about the attraction of elements etc... - graphic design stories never run out of plots for various audiences. Most importantly graphic design compositions can astonish, provoke, appease, reassure, activate, motivate, stimulate, etc... in short they can create emotions.
